Dear Neighbor,

I have one of those silly “first world pains.” You might deal with the same thing: jewelry clutter. I had enough and decided to do something about it. I started to look for a earring tree and they really wouldn’t do the job so my mind got busy. I moved from metal pie safe size screening to what I ended up using because , believe it or not, Home Depot didn’t sell that size screen! In the end I like this solution better and once I settled on peg board, it was all downhill from there.

The problem: too many earrings with no real way to store without getting tangled.

Decided to hang a peg board on the back of the closet door. Measured and cut to the size to fit. Used two of the 3M stick on hooks. It handled the weight just fine.

Hung earring pairs in the holes and added some pegs of different sizes for the necklaces. Used a piece of crocheted ribbon to insert posts and pins.
